Sunday:
An early jump on I-84 allowed us to save some time for brunch in Hood River. I had blueberry pecan pancakes with bacon and orange juice. There were four pancakes altogether, each with a diameter the size of a softball. The bacon portion was generous to say the least and perfectly cooked. Definitely one of my top 3 breakfast experiences based on the bacon alone. Julie had an awesome vegetable quiche with honeydew melon and grapefruit juice.
We arrived in Nampa on time and were greeted by some of Julie’s fantastic friends from college. While they caught up I brought an old NES I found in the corner of the living room back to life with a little CPR. After that it was all Mega Man 3, a perfect way to end a long day on the road.
Monday:
A few thoughts:
a) Eastern Idaho is much more green than I would have guessed.
b) Drive-by Yellowstone tourism is surprisingly fun. I’d forgotten how cool it is there. Pictures below.
We’re settled into Cody, Wyoming tonight. Fantastic bbq ribs down the street. Oh, and we were married one year ago today.

Wow! What nice rock formations! I’d love to climb THOSE badboys. You know… the ones with the pretty colors n’stuff.
Periferi – isn’t that something that smells really good in those antique stores?
