Day 3

snooze

Today we left Wyoming and traversed the breezy grasslands of Montana to reach Medora, North Dakota. We’re essentially on the periphery of the badlands. Our campsite rests not far from the Little Missouri River across from which you’ll find the beginnings of those otherworldly rock formations. Part of me wanted to abandon civilization, cross the river, and start climbing.

All sorts of interesting things around here. Crazy rocks and clay. Saw some pelicans, an osprey, and some other birds, too. Wyoming, Montana, and North Dakota have not disappointed.

All in all a good day. Things got a little loopy in Eastern Montana, but nothing too crazy happened.
