Garden

“No occupation is so delightful to me as the culture of the earth, and no culture comparable to that of a garden.”

-Thomas Jefferson

That’s my dad. Here’s his garden:

Cone flowers, alliums, rutabaga, garlic, basil, lime basil, lemon basil, mammoth basil, tomatoes, chives, brussel sprouts, cucumbers, asiatic lilies, pumpkins, gourds, grapes, dill, raspberries, cilantro, hostas, swiss chard, parsley, lettuce, moss roses, geraniums, coleus, hens and chicks (plants, not birds), carrots, pole beans, beets, red peppers, yellow peppers, decorative grass, daisies, jalapeños, hydrangeas, lilacs, iris, forget-me-nots, and rhubarb.

He also created most of the structures and maintains two compost heaps.
